Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day technical operation of the Automated Chips Production Line.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electromechanical issues on production machinery, conveyors, sensors, drives, and control panels.
- Support operation and maintenance of utilities and auxiliary systems: cold storage, water purification/filtration, compressed air, boilers
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and HSE teams to ensure food safety, product quality, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, manuals, and equipment documentation; update documentation after modifications.
- Coordinate with external vendors/contractors during installation, commissioning, and servicing of equipment.
- Train operators and junior technicians on correct operation, basic troubleshooting, and safety practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects (OEE, energy efficiency, waste reduction, line optimization).
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in a technical/maintenance role in a food processing plant or similar automated industrial environment (FMCG, beverage, frozen foods, etc.).
- Experience with automated production lines and conveying systems (mechanical and electrical).
- Ability to systematically diagnose faults under time pressure and propose effective, safe solutions.
- Willingness to work in shifts / on call support if required by production schedule.
Qualifications
- Degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross functionally with production, QA, and management.
